Job summary

Fetch Specialty and Emergency Veterinary Centers in Brandon, FL is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team. You will support pets undergoing cancer treatment and work with dedicated staff to provide compassionate care.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and certification as a Veterinary Technician is preferred. Training in oncology procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Handle and restrain pets during procedures and treatments
  • Administer sedation and induce anesthesia
  • Monitor sedated and anesthetized patients
  • Prepare, calculate and administer medications as prescribed
  • Monitor patients and document their vital signs and response to treatment
  • Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures, such as imaging studies and laboratory work
  • Maintain and update patient records
  • Provide compassionate care and support to pets and their owners
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the Oncology department

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team in our Brandon Hospital. As a Veterinary Technician in Oncology, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to pets undergoing treatment for cancer.

Responsibilities
  • Handle and restrain pets during procedures and treatments
