BluePearl Pet Hospital in Levittown, PA is hiring an exceptional Neurology Veterinary Technician.

Pay: $22.10 - $44.50 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through the CareerTrax leveling system.

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends. Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum. For example:

• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential

The ideal candidate will have anesthesia experience, a great attitude, and a strong drive to succeed and build their career in Veterinary Medicine. As a Neurology Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculate all medical math, including advanced calculations and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.).
• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia.
• Willing to train for setup of MRI and CT procedures.
• Discharge neurology patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as manual bladder expression, sling walking, range of motion, etc.
• Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
• Perform callbacks and refill medications.
• Gather histories and communicate with clinicians for client education.
• Perform physical exams and accurately monitor vital signs.
• Understand normal vital parameters.
• Be comfortable with IVC placement and venipuncture.
• Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and troubleshoot errors.
• Restrain patients during consults and diagnostics.
