Veterinary Technician - Neurology

We are looking for a skilled veterinary technician to join our growing team! This position offers the opportunity to work alongside renowned veterinarians and contribute to cutting-edge patient care.

Located in Culver City, ACCESS LA is a referral hospital with 24-hour Emergency services, where our technicians encounter all types of cases when working closely with some of the most qualified doctors in the country. Our hospital features numerous specialty departments, providing unique experiences such as working with a Macaw with a broken beak, performing advanced surgeries, or operating an MRI. We are an ideal place for those passionate about caring for sick or injured animals in a high-paced, renowned animal hospital.

As a neurology veterinary technician, you will play a crucial role in our neurology department, assisting in diagnosis, treatment, and patient care. You will work closely with neurologists and veterinary specialists to ensure exceptional medical support and high standards of care.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
  • Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
  • Assist with MRI's, CT scans, spinal taps, and EEG's.
  • Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and offer guidance on memberships, medications, and treatments.
  • Maintain comprehensive medical records with support of practice systems.
  • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow protocols, and keep treatment areas clean and organized.
  • Support and mentor fellow team members.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of veterinary assisting/technician experience.
  • Desire to offer superior patient care.
  • Positive work attitude.
  • Flexible schedule.

Compensation:
  • Non-Credentialed Assistants: $21/hr - $30/hr
  • Licensed Technicians: $25/hr - $38/hr
  • VTS: $40/hr
  • Pay to be determined by skills assessment.
