Utah Veterinary Emergency Center (UVEC) is a newly established, independently owned veterinary urgent care hospital in Herriman, Utah. Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT) preferred
• Urgent care experience a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and grow in a mentorship-focused environment

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in examination, diagnosis, and treatment of urgent care patients
• Place IV catheters, draw blood, and obtain diagnostic samples
• Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia
• Assist in surgical procedures and maintain sterile technique
• Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as directed
• Run in-house laboratory diagnostics and assist with imaging
• Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes to the attending veterinarian
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners
• Maintain thorough medical records and logs
• Keep treatment areas, surgical suites, and equipment clean and organized
• Practice the gold standard of patient care in every interaction
