- Role: Veterinary Technician
- Status: Full-Time
- Salary: $30 - $35/hour, depending on experience
- Schedule: Full-time schedule with rotating Saturday shifts required
Grady Animal Hospital is looking for a licensed veterinary technician to join our dedicated team. We work together to uphold the highest standards of patient care, fostering a supportive, fun environment that encourages camaraderie and opportunities to learn and grow.
Responsibilities
- Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
- Knowledge of preventative care and vaccines
- Attentive induction, monitoring, and recovery of surgical patients
- Emergency and surgical care, including IV catheter placement and intubation
- Obtaining diagnostics—radiographs, phlebotomy, sample collection—and performing in-house lab work
- Professional, compassionate communication with clients and staff
- Succinct documentation of patient records and client interactions
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a veterinary hospital required
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) credentials strongly preferred
- Strong technical and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and client service abilities
- Compassionate, empathetic approach to patient and client care
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
