Job summary

VCA Animal Care Center of Sonoma County in Santa Rosa, CA seeks experienced veterinary technicians to support our 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital. You will join a dedicated team delivering compassionate pet care and high-level diagnostics in a fast-paced setting.

As a relief technician, you will learn our flow and protocols, work alongside a seasoned team in Emergency and Specialty departments, and receive on-the-job training before shifts.

Qualifications

• Experienced veterinary technician skills required.
• Comfort with emergency and specialty hospital environment.
• Ability to work with a team and follow protocols.

Responsibilities

• Support emergency and specialty departments.
• Assist clinicians with examinations, anesthesia, and procedures.

Located near Santa Rosa in Rohnert Park, CA, VCA Animal Care Center of Sonoma County, is a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital that has been caring for the pets of our community for over 40 years.

Our hospital is fully equipped with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment that includes MRI, CT, ultrasound, endoscopy and fluoroscopy. With access to a wide variety of equipment and resources, you will be able to provide the highest quality care to our patients.

Advance your skills by having the opportunity to work with our various specialty departments: Emergency, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Neurology.

Why We Want You! We want to support our team by giving them the time off they deserve, this is the role that you would play for our hospital! As a relief technician you will receive training of our flow and protocols prior to being scheduled for a shift. Once on shift you will also be paired with an experienced team member in that department to give you further support as you learn the ways of specialty and emergency.

Compensation ranges from $30 - $34/hour depending on experience.
