Job summary

New Haven Pet Hospital in New Haven, Indiana, is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our supportive team. We offer a 4-day workweek with rotating Saturday shifts, along with competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will work closely with doctors, assist in procedures, and help educate clients while growing your skills in a family-friendly, small-town setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing/implementing methods to improve the clinic and morale of the technicians.
• Investigate and/or develop learning opportunities for the team.
• Work with leadership on developing and implementing new policies, procedures and accountability efforts.
• Client communication and education.
• Patient care and husbandry.
• Technical duties including blood draws, x-rays, anesthesia monitoring, and IV catheter placement.
• Patient restraint and assisting veterinarians during exams and procedures.
• Preparing patients for exams and procedures.
• Filling prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
