Job summary

VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our ICU team in Mesa. This Full-Time position offers a 3-day, 12-hour rotating schedule (Thursday through Saturday, 7 am–7 pm) and compensation of $24–$30 per hour.

As a member of the ICU unit, you will perform venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia monitoring, and patient assessments, while ensuring compassionate care for hospitalized patients.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician with licensure.
• ICU experience preferred and ability to manage critical patients.
• Proficient in venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and radiology.
• Flexible to a 3-day, 12-hour shift schedule (Thu-Sat).

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and catheter placement for patient care.
• Monitor anesthesia and respiratory status during procedures.
• Conduct physical examinations and patient assessments.
• Assist in surgical preparation and intraoperative support.
• Perform dentistry, lab work, and pharmacy tasks as needed.
• Support compassionate care for hospitalized patients and families.

VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our ICU team.

Location: 1648 N Country Club Dr, Mesa, AZ 85201

Schedule: Full-Time, Thursday - Saturday 7 am - 7 pm 3 days, 12-hour alternative workweek

Salary: $24 - $30 per hour
