Job summary

Goldbelt Apex LLC seeks a Veterinary Technician to provide technical support in ABSL-2/3/4 areas. The role includes procedures, anesthesia, radiography assistance, and sample handling. Strong safety, GLP, and documentation practices are essential for daily operations.

The position requires standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and adherence to SOPs while ensuring animal care and data integrity in a controlled research setting.

Qualifications

• LAT certification or higher required.
• US Citizenship required.
• Security clearance eligibility (Secret) required or obtainable.
• Experience in veterinary technical support, especially with non-human primates, is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide veterinary technical support to animals at biocontainment levels IAW SOPs and protocols, including observations, injections, catheters, anesthesia, procedures, and sample handling.
• Review SOPs and assist with responses for oversight visits and contractor tasks.
• Monitor equipment, maintain records, and ensure compliance with safety and GLP practices.

Skills

Lift 50 lbs

ABSL-3/ABSL-4 experience desirable

NHP veterinary support

Education

LAT certification or higher
