Job summary

NewDay Veterinary Care in the Orlando area seeks a Veterinary Assistant or Technician to join a growth-oriented clinic. The role involves assisting vets, handling animals, and performing imaging, with a focus on compassionate care and client communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience as Veterinary Assistant or Technician.
• RVT/LVT/CVT licensure preferred.
• Experience with in-house hematology, chemistry, and dental prophylaxis.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and support clinic productivity.
• Assist veterinarians with exams and animal handling.
• Perform diagnostic imaging (x-ray, ultrasound).
• Maintain kennels and sanitize rooms.
• Manage medical charts and administer meds.
• Explain simple diagnoses to pet parents.
• Assist with dental prophylaxis, venipuncture, surgeries.
