NewDay Veterinary Care in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Veterinary Assistant or Technician to support doctors with exams, imaging, and patient care. You will assist during procedures, handle animals sensitively, and contribute to a smooth-running clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Six months of veterinary assistant/tech experience is required.
• RV T/LVT/CVT licensure is preferred.
• Familiarity with lab work, medical records and SOAP notes.
• Surgical exposure or experience is beneficial.
• Proficiency reading fecal floats and cytology helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, best-in-class care and support clinic productivity.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures; handle animals safely.
• Perform diagnostic imaging (X-ray, ultrasound) as needed.
• Maintain clean kennels, exam rooms and equipment; manage records.
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor patients during visits.
• Communicate basic diagnoses to pet parents and team.
