Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our hospital team onsite. You will assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and monitoring, while educating clients on wellness plans and preventive care.

You will prepare lab samples, handle equipment, assist in surgery and anesthesia, and maintain accurate medical records. A valid CVT/RVT/LVT and 1+ year hospital experience are preferred for this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; CVT/RVT/LVT license required.
1+ year veterinary hospital experience or internship preferred.
Ability to work under supervision of a veterinarian and maintain patient records.

Responsibilities

Assist in examination, treatment, and monitoring of animals under a veterinarian's supervision.
Prepare and analyze lab samples; operate laboratory equipment and record results.
Assist in surgical procedures; monitor anesthesia and provide post-operative care.
Educate clients on wellness plans, nutrition, and disease prevention.
Maintain thorough medical charting and hospital quality control standards.
Assist in triage, scheduling, and patient intake/discharge as needed.
