Job summary

Back Cove Animal Hospital in Portland, ME is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician for a full-time position. You will join a welcoming, collaborative team and work alongside veterinarians in appointments, treatments, and hospital operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working in a veterinary hospital.
• CVT, LVT, or RVT credentialed is a plus, but not required.
• Comfortable supporting veterinarians in appointments and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Supporting veterinarians during appointments and treatments.
• Preparing patients and treatment areas.
• Patient handling and restraint.
• Anesthesia monitoring and recovery.
• Caring for hospitalized patients.
• Preparing patients for procedures.
• Assisting with surgical and dental procedures.
• Supporting patient discharges and client education.
• Obtaining diagnostic radiographs.
• Performing in-house laboratory work.
• Maintaining accurate medical records.
• Helping maintain efficient daily hospital flow.
• Working collaboratively with the entire team to provide excellent patient care.

Skills
