NVA General Practice in Georgia is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our busy, fast-paced clinic. The ideal candidate is confident in a clinical setting, handles multiple priorities, and stays calm under pressure.

You will provide nursing care, assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, and procedures, prepare patients for surgery, and monitor anesthesia. The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and a compassionate approach to patients and clients.

Qualificações

• Minimum 3 years of veterinary technician experience required.
• Demonstrated experience assisting with emergency cases and surgical procedures required.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary nursing and patient care.
• Calm and confident under pressure, particularly during emergencies.

Responsabilidades

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to veterinary patients.
• Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
• Prepare patients for surgery and assist with surgical procedures.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia and surgery.
• Assist with emergency and urgent-care cases while maintaining composure in high-pressure situations.
• Perform and assist with laboratory diagnostics, including bloodwork, urinalysis, cytology, and other in-house testing.
• Place and maintain IV catheters and administer medications and treatments as directed.
• Obtain and monitor patient vital signs and accurately document medical information.
• Handle, restrain, and care for patients safely and compassionately.
• Communicate effectively with veterinarians, fellow team members, and clients.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment and surgical areas.
• Prioritize and manage multiple patients and tasks efficiently in a high-volume environment.
• Follow clinic protocols for patient safety, infection control, and emergency procedures.
