National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is seeking a Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians and medical staff in a busy Tennessee hospital. You will assist with examinations, radiographs, medications, surgeries prep, and postoperative monitoring while upholding safety and client service standards.

This role requires Tennessee license and at least one year of experience. You’ll join a collaborative team dedicated to compassionate care, ongoing learning, and high-quality pet health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed Tennessee Veterinary Technician required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician.
• Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth.
• Caring for animals in a clinical setting.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and handle large dogs.

Responsibilities

• Communicates professionally with clients and team.
• Maintains safety of clients, pets and staff.
• Assists veterinarians during examinations and procedures.
• Obtains radiographic images safely.
• Prepares and administers medications, vaccines, and treatments.
• Cleans and sterilizes instruments and equipment.
• Gathers equipment for procedures and surgeries.
• Prepares patients for surgery and places IV catheters.
• Performs routine dental cleanings under supervision.
• Administers anesthesia and monitors patient responses.
• Cares for patients during recovery post-surgery.
• Obtains radiographs with proper positioning.
• Collects and labels samples for lab testing.
• Fills prescriptions and labels containers.
• Maintains clean examination rooms and treatment areas.
