BluePearl Pet Hospital in Malvern, PA is hiring an experienced Overnight Veterinary Technician for our busy Emergency and Critical Care department.

Schedule and Compensation

• Schedule: Thursday - Saturday (7:00 pm - 7:00 am)
• Pay: $21.00 - $43.00/hour (dependent on experience and progression)
• Additional shift differential pay for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends, based on a 4-hour minimum:
• Mon - Fri: $3.50 shift differential
• Sat & Sun: $5.00 shift differential (6 pm to 8 am)
• Sat & Sun: $3.50 shift differential (8 am to 6 pm)

Role Overview

The Veterinary Technician role at BluePearl offers an exciting, fast-paced environment to utilize and expand your skills while working alongside talented veterinary professionals.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia using appropriate equipment.
• Triage emergency cases, obtain vital signs, and assess patient status.
• Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning.
• Understand normal vital sign ranges and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs.
• Identify at-risk patients, initiate CPR when necessary.
• Calculate medical dosages, administer medications appropriately.
• Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central lines.
• Mentor and train co-workers, address client concerns with patience and empathy.
