BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital in Levittown, PA is hiring an experienced Overnight Veterinary Technician for our busy Emergency and Critical Care department.

Schedule: 4 x 10 Hour shifts, Wednesday-Saturday, 10:00pm-8:00am

Pay: $21.00 - $43.00 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and progression through our CareerTrax leveling system.

We offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends, with a minimum of 4 hours. Examples include:

• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential

As an Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients, using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases as they arrive, including obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
• Understand normal ranges of vital signs and alert veterinarians to changes.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Calculate medical math, including infusions, and administer medications appropriately.
• Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters in peripheral vessels.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Mentor and train colleagues.
• Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
