Job summary

Metropolitan Veterinary Associates, Inc in Plymouth Meeting, PA, is seeking a Veterinary Emergency Technician to join Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital on multiple shifts. This full-time role starts at $21/hr with a $5,000 sign-on bonus plus $2,000 retention bonus.

You'll triage and treat emergency patients, support ER veterinarians with treatment plans, communicate clearly with pet parents, and keep the workspace ready for rapid action. Weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• ER or ICU experience; calm and efficient under pressure.
• Strong clinical skills: IV placement, venipuncture, lab processing, anesthesia.
• Collaborative mindset and passion for learning.

Responsibilities

• Triage and treat emergency patients: fluids, meds, and life-saving interventions.
• Partner with ER vets on treatment plans for acute, complex cases.
• Support pet parents with clear, compassionate communication.
• Keep the workspace ready for fast action.

Plymouth Meeting, PA | Full-Time - Starting at $21/hr.

$5,000 Sign-on Bonus + $2,000 Retention Bonus

Schedule

• Thursday-Saturday: 2pm-2am – Additional Shift Differential
• Wednesday-Saturday: 4pm-2am– Additional Shift Differential
• Sunday - Wednesday: 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM - Additional $4 shift differentia
• 4 - 10hr shifts ranging from: 6am-9pm

Some weekend availability needed.
