Metropolitan Veterinary Associates seeks a Veterinary Technician for overnight emergency coverage at our Hickory-area facility. This full-time role focuses on triage, emergency procedures, and compassionate client communication in a fast-paced ER setting.

Ideal candidates have ER/ICU experience and strong skills in IV placement, venipuncture, lab processing, and anesthesia, supporting a collaborative veterinary team.

Qualifications

• ER/ICU experience required.
• Strong clinical skills including IV placement, venipuncture, lab processing, and anesthesia.
• Excellent communication with pet parents and team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced ER environment.

Responsibilities

• Triage and treat emergency patients: fluids, meds, and life-saving interventions.
• Partner with ER vets on treatment plans for acute, complex cases.
• Support pet parents with clear, compassionate communication.
• Keep the workspace ready for fast action.

• Starting at $21/-$26/hr. + $4 shift differential
