BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians to work in our Emergency department.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:

  1. Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
  2. Triage emergency cases upon arrival, including obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
  3. Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
  4. Understand normal ranges of vital signs, including heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
  5. Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting the veterinarian to any changes.
  6. Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
  7. Calculate medical dosages accurately, administer medications via appropriate routes, and perform phlebotomy and IV catheter placement.
  8. Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
  9. Mentor and train colleagues, demonstrating patience and empathy in addressing client concerns.
