BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Overnight Veterinary Technicians to work in our busy Emergency and Critical Care department.

As an Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:

1. Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients, using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
2. Triage emergency cases upon arrival, including obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
3. Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
4. Understand normal ranges of patient vital signs, including heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
5. Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting veterinarians to any changes or issues.
6. Identify patients at risk of arrest and initiate CPR.
7. Calculate medical dosages accurately, including constant rate infusions, and administer medications via appropriate routes and durations.
8. Proficiently perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters in peripheral vessels.
9. Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
10. Mentor and train colleagues.
11. Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
