Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health’s Pet+ER in Hunt Valley, MD is hiring a Veterinary Technician for our 24/7 emergency and critical care team. RVT preferred but not required; we seek individuals with strong phlebotomy, radiography, anesthesia monitoring, and lab skills prepared to work in a fast‑paced teaching hospital.

Qualifications

  • Certified, Registered, or Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred, but not required.
  • Emergency or critical care experience preferred.
  • Strong technical skills including phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, radiography, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory procedures, and patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional nursing care for emergency and critically ill patients.
  • Collaborate with Emergency Veterinarians to provide outstanding patient and client care.
  • Perform safe, low-stress patient handling techniques.
  • Obtain blood samples and perform in-house laboratory testing.
  • Assist with diagnostic imaging, including radiographs.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and efficiently.
  • Support patient appointments and provide compassionate client education.
  • Assist with anesthesia and endoscopy procedures.
  • Monitor hospitalized, ICU, outpatient, and overnight specialty patients.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients, clients, and team members.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and strong communication while working in a fast-paced emergency environment.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

Full-time opportunity in Hunt Valley, Maryland
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts (Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday), with day and overnight opportunities available. Weekend and holiday rotation as needed.

In your day-to-day, you will:

What You Bring
