Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician or Senior Veterinary Assistant for the Emergency/CCU team at SAGE Campbell. You will support veterinarians, monitor critically ill patients, administer medications, and help coordinate around-the-clock care for hospitalized pets.

The role offers swing or day shifts with a full-time 4/10 schedule and a sign-on bonus up to $3,500 for swing or early swing shifts. A collaborative, high‑quality care environment is emphasized.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of clinical ER/CCU experience.
• California VACSP permit required within 60 days of hire or transfer (or CA RVT license).

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during treatments and procedures.
• Monitor critically ill or injured patients.
• Coordinate around-the-clock care with the team.
• Provide compassionate care to patients and owners.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist with diagnostics such as bloodwork and imaging.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Monitor and maintain medical equipment.
• Communicate updates to owners and clinicians.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition.

Compensation: $25-$40 per hour plus a $5.50/hr shift differential!

Schedule options:

Swing shift: Sunday - Wednesday 2 PM-12:30AM
OR Day shift: Sunday - Wednesday 10AM - 8:30PM ORSunday-Thursday 7AM-5:30PM

As an ER Vet Tech, you'll be an essential part of our veterinary team, providing vital support to our veterinarians in ensuring the utmost care and comfort for our clients' cherished pets.

Some duties you will own in this role:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
• Assist with diagnostic procedures such as bloodwork and imaging.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Monitor and maintain medical equipment.
• Communicate with pet owners regarding patient updates and treatment plans.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and provide emergency care as needed.

Schedule:

• Full-Time - 4/10 Schedule
• Sunday - Wednesday 2PM-12:30AM (Swing Shift)
• Sunday - Wednesday 10AM - 8:30PM ORSunday-Thursday 7AM-5:30PM (Day Shift)

Basic Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• 2+ years of clinical experience in an ER/CCU setting required
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
• Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)
