Qualifications

• 1-3 years of veterinary experience.
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions).
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Holiday and weekend requirements; on-call for experienced applicants.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and team player attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for discharge and ensure documentation is complete.
• Communicate medical procedures and pharmacology clearly to clients; demonstrate care as needed.
• Relay complex information to pet owners for at-home care.
• Fill medications for clients to administer at home.
• Administer medications via oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous routes.
• Document all client communications in the medical record.
• Educate owners on pet care and preventative health.
