Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health, a 24/7 veterinary hospital in Malvern, PA, is seeking an ICU/ER Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency/ICU team. You will provide triage, nursing, and monitoring for critically ill patients under supervision of specialists and ER doctors.

We value teamwork, high standards of care, and strong client communication. Minimum 3 years as a veterinary technician is preferred, with experience in emergency settings and proficiency in low-stress handling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years working as a veterinary technician, preferably in emergency.
• Understanding of triage, pharmacology, restraints, imaging and laboratory procedures.
• Attention to detail and strong communication with clients and team.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced monitoring and care for dynamically ill and unstable critical care patients.
• Obtain vitals and maintain nursing notes in the electronic system (SmartFlow).
• Assist veterinarians in all aspects of care and interventions.
• Restrain for exams, diagnostics, and medication administration.
• Perform diagnostics and treatments, including IV placement, blood work, radiographs, CPR, sedation, anesthesia.
• Demonstrate aseptic technique and handle advanced procedures when needed.
• Discharge patients with discharge instructions and home care guidance.
