Qualifications

• College-equivalent education required for Credentialed Veterinary Technician.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong telephone and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, obtain weights and vital signs, and document visits in the electronic medical record.
• Assist veterinarian with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia under supervision.
• Perform patient restraint, obtain lab samples, dispense medications, and maintain records.
• Schedule appointments, educate clients, relay test results, manage inventory and accounts receivable.
• Prepare patients for procedures, monitor anesthesia, and discharge or transfer as needed.
