Job summary

National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is seeking a veterinary technician to support veterinarians during examinations, diagnoses and treatments. The role includes preparing exam rooms, restraining animals, and maintaining medical records with a focus on compassionate client communication.

The position requires a minimum of two years’ experience with a high school diploma; CVT/LVT is desirable. Compensation is hourly with potential bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CVT or LVT-certified preferred but not required.
• On-the-job training experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the veterinarian during examinations, diagnoses and treatments.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Restrict and handle animals safely and effectively.
• Record observations and medical information in patient files.
• Explain vaccines, care instructions and follow-up to clients.
