Job summary

Goldbelt Apex LLC is seeking a Veterinary Technical Support staff member to provide critical veterinary care and technical support for non-human primates in ABSL-2 to ABSL-4 settings. The role requires strict adherence to SOPs, safety protocols, and timely documentation of procedures.

The position demands the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, full compliance with biosafety measures, and willingness to travel within local facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• LAT certification or higher is required prior to or within twelve months of hire.
• At least three years of veterinary technical experience in support of NHPs in a research setting.
• Experience in ABSL-3 and/or ABSL-4 settings is highly desirable.
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
• US Citizenship Required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Flexible work hours, including evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide veterinary technical support to animals at all biocontainment levels during experimental and non-experimental periods.
• Assist in reviewing SOPs and preparation for oversight visits as they pertain to Contractor Tasks.
• Assist the Contract PM with reviewing pending animal studies and advising resources as needed.
• Ensure all animals are properly identified and associated with specific experiments.
• Shall transport animals within the facility or to/from other facilities per SOPs.
• Shall operate veterinary medical equipment and document operations at all biocontainment levels.
• Complete required trainings and maintain documentation in systems of record.
