Job summary

Goldbelt Apex seeks a Veterinary Technician to support animals at ABSL-2/3/4 in a demanding biocontainment setting. You will perform injections, catheter placements, anesthesia, and post-procedural care while ensuring GLP-compliant records and adherence to SOPs.

Role requires ability to lift 50 lbs, prolonged standing, and readiness for 24/7 coverage with security clearance and US citizenship. Compensation starts at $35/hour with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Minimum three years veterinary technical experience in support of non-human primates.
LAT certification or higher is required.
Willingness to obtain/maintain security clearances and pass drug tests.

Responsibilities

Provide veterinary technical support across biocontainment levels IAW SOPs and protocols.
Support procedures in radiographic and surgical settings and blood sample handling.
Maintain records, perform health checks, and monitor animal welfare per SOPs.
Transport and house animals per SOPs and ensure proper room designations.
Train and assist Contract Employees; prepare for oversight visits.
