Forever Vets Animal Hospital at Tinseltown in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our team. The role supports physicians in patient care, documentation, medication administration and diagnostics, with a focus on accurate record-keeping and compassionate client interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–2 years related experience or training.
• Registered Veterinary Technicians in [STATE] are preferred, not necessarily required.
• Must be able to multi-task; accommodations available to perform essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Check patient medical records and enter data.
• Take medical histories and vital signs.
• Maintain client educational materials.
• Admit and discharge patients.
• Process and log prescription refills in-house, call out pharmacy and online pharmacy.
• Monitor hospital patients and log vital signs.
• Administer medications as needed.
• Place catheters and perform blood draws.
• Restrain and assist doctor during exams, treatments, and anesthesia procedures.
