Job summary

Forever Vets of Murabella Parkway in Saint Augustine, FL is seeking a Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our busy practice. You will support patient care, assist veterinarians, and help with treatments and anesthesia procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 1–2 years related experience and/or training.
• Registered Veterinary Technicians in Florida are preferred, not necessarily required.
• We are open and willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Check patient medical records and enter data.
• Take medical histories and vital signs.
• Maintain client educational materials.
• Admit and discharge patients.
• Process and log prescription refills in-house and with pharmacies.
• Monitor hospital patients and log vital signs.
• Administer medications and restrain/assist during exams and anesthesia.
• Place catheters and perform blood draws.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Other duties as assigned.
