Job summary

Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota is seeking a Technician Assistant – Diagnostic Imaging to support radiologists, veterinarians, and technicians. You will prepare patients for imaging procedures, restrain patients safely, and help admissions and recovery, ensuring smooth imaging operations in a busy hospital environment.

Ideal candidates are highly organized, calm under pressure, and strong communicators who work well in teams and enjoy helping both patients and clients.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a veterinary technician assistant or in a medical setting is preferred.
  • Ability to learn and operate imaging equipment and stay organized.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for radiographs, ultrasound, CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, and other imaging procedures.
  • Safely restrain patients during imaging studies following radiation safety protocols.
  • Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and recovery.
  • Monitor patient comfort and communicate concerns to the medical team.
  • Coordinate daily imaging schedules for multiple specialty services.
  • Prepare imaging equipment and rooms for procedures.
  • Ensure diagnostic studies are labeled, archived, and available for interpretation.
  • Coordinate imaging requests with other department teams.
