CityVet seeks Veterinary Technician Assistants with a minimum of 1 year of experience. Previous experience is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinary Technicians in maintaining excellent patient care and operational efficiency.
• Relieve Veterinary Technicians from technical and administrative tasks to improve practice efficiency.
• Facilitate communication between the operating room, front office, and clients.

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• At least 1 year of veterinary industry experience
• Ability to properly restrain animals safely
• Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and medications
• Ability to lift 50 lbs to waist height
• Frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Self-motivated and team-oriented

A Day In The Life

• Assist in preparing patients for surgeries, including anesthesia and restraint.
• Partner with Veterinarian and Veterinary Technician teams for triage and patient care.
• Support Veterinary Technicians with appointments, treatments, and documentation.
• Assist Client Service Specialists as needed.
