We’re currently seeking a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join our growing, dedicated team. - Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Closed Sundays
About Us
Walton Gwinnett Animal Hospital is a comprehensive veterinary care facility offering a wide range of services for cats, dogs, and small animals. We are a five-veterinarian practice with a fully equipped facility, including:
- Several exam rooms
- Two surgical rooms
- A digital x-ray room
- In-house laboratory
- On-site and online pharmacies
Our services include wellness exams, soft-tissue surgery, dental care and dentistry, cold laser therapy, health certificates, behavior counseling, weight management, and boarding & grooming. We are proud to offer most veterinary services under one roof, making us a one-stop destination for pet owners.
️ What You’ll Do
As a Veterinary Assistant or Technician, you'll be a key part of delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our patients and clients.
Your role includes:
- Assisting with exams, diagnostics, and treatments
- Supporting veterinarians in surgery and with anesthesia monitoring
- Administering medications, placing catheters, and drawing blood
- Monitoring patient vitals and aiding in recovery
- Providing clear communication and education to pet owners
- Maintaining clean, stocked, and organized treatment areas
- Working closely with a team that values respect, support, and growth
What We’re Looking For

Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year experience in a veterinary assistant or technician role
- Comfort with animal handling and restraint
- Familiarity with basic clinical skills: venipuncture, lab sample collection, diagnostics, etc.
- Surgical and anesthesia support experience is a plus
- Certification (CVT, RVT, LVT) is a bonus—but not required
- Tech school grads or those preparing for the VTNE are encouraged to apply!
- Strong communication with clients and team members
