About Quakertown Veterinary Clinic

We are seeking Overnight Veterinary Technician Assistants to join our team! Located in Bucks County, PA, we provide routine and 24/7 emergency care for a variety of animals. Our Technician Assistants support our Veterinary Technicians by handling routine hospital responsibilities and caring for hospital patients.

Ideal candidates love animals and are interested in providing compassionate care. This role is suitable for those enrolled in or interested in veterinary technician certification programs.

Full-time opportunities are available. Due to operational needs, select holidays and a weekly weekend shift are required. Additional compensation is offered for overnight hours, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Handle general care tasks such as walking dogs, washing water bowls, cleaning cages and stalls
• Assist in restraining animals including dogs, cats, and some large animals (e.g., horses)
• Wash and fold laundry
• Stock supplies
• Set up and break down exam rooms and surgery suites
• Interact with clients and assist during hospital visits

Qualifications

• Previous animal handling experience preferred
• Ability to interact calmly with animals

• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
• Visual abilities such as near vision, color vision, and focus adjustment
