Qualifications

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician preferred (CVT/LVT/RVT).

  • Solid skills in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and basic lab work.
  • Experience with anesthesia monitoring is beneficial.
  • Emergency and surgical care skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Triage patients and obtain medical histories, vital signs, and assessments.
  • Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
  • Provide nursing care from intake to discharge.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and fluid therapy.
  • Monitor patients and provide wound care and pain scoring.
  • Assist with anesthesia monitoring and surgical care.
  • Support emergency and urgent patient care as needed.
  • Conduct laboratory procedures and assist with tests.
  • Educate clients on care, medications, and discharge instructions.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and team members for efficient care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional growth.

What Our Veterinary Technicians Do

  • Triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories, vital signs, and patient assessments
  • Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients from intake through discharge
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
  • Provide patient monitoring and supportive care, including TPRs, pain scoring, wound care, and more
  • Assist with anesthesia monitoring, surgical care, and patient recovery
  • Support emergency and urgent patient care as needed
  • Perform laboratory procedures and assist with diagnostic testing
  • Educate and communicate with clients about patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventative care
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and fellow support team members to provide efficient, high-quality patient care
  • Participate in ongoing training and growth opportunities within the practice
