Job summary

Crossroads Animal Care Center in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide hands-on nursing care, anesthesia management, dentistry, and diagnostics in a busy General Practice and Urgent Care setting.

The role emphasizes technical skills in dentistry and anesthesia, patient monitoring, and client education, with a collaborative, fast-paced hospital culture and rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Active LVT, RVT, or CVT credential required.
• Prior experience in a veterinary clinical setting.
• Strong anesthesia knowledge and patient monitoring skills.
• Ability to independently perform dental cleanings and obtain diagnostic dental radiographs.
• Skilled in venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, restraint, and laboratory procedures.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Strong communication and collaborative approach with clients and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Manage anesthesia cases and monitor surgical patients.
• Perform COHATs, charting, and full-mouth dental imaging.
• Assist doctors with treatments, diagnostics, and urgent care cases.
• Support patient intake, outpatient procedures, and hospitalized case management.
• Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and organized treatment areas.
• Contribute to a supportive, team-focused hospital culture.
