Job summary

Crossroads Animal Care Center in Woodbridge, VA, is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to support anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics, and client education in a busy hybrid General Practice and Urgent Care hospital. The role emphasizes dental procedures, strong nursing care, and collaborative teamwork.

The position is full-time with rotating Saturdays (8 AM–2 PM). Active LVT/RVT/CVT credentials and prior clinical experience are required, with opportunities for growth and CE allowances.

Qualifications

• Active LVT, RVT, or CVT credential required.
• Prior experience in a veterinary clinical setting.
• Strong anesthesia knowledge and patient monitoring skills.
• Ability to independently perform dental cleanings and obtain diagnostic dental radiographs.
• Proficient venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, restraint, and laboratory procedures.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Excellent communication and collaborative team approach.

Responsibilities

• Managing anesthesia cases and monitoring surgical patients.
• Performing COHATs, charting, and full-mouth dental imaging.
• Assisting doctors with treatments, diagnostics, and urgent care cases.
• Supporting patient intake, outpatient procedures, and hospitalized case management.
• Educating clients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
• Maintaining accurate medical records and organized treatment areas.
• Contributing to a supportive and team-focused hospital culture.
