South Platte Veterinary Hospital in Sheridan, CO is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician who is high-energy and patient-focused to join our growing team. You will support veterinarians in exams, anesthesia, and dentistry while upholding compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Current CVT, RVT, or LVT status in the relevant state.
• Interest in anesthesia, laser therapy, and dental health.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to stay organized while handling multiple patients and clients.
• Commitment to high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in veterinary medicine, surgery, and related tasks.
• Take histories, vital signs, and weights during outpatient exams and educate clients.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs intraoperatively.
• Collect samples and perform in-hospital lab testing as needed.
• Take, develop, and maintain radiographs with proper safety procedures.
• Assist with patient handling and restraining during exams.
• Administer medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and stocking of exam rooms and labs; assist team members as needed.
• Demonstrate warmth, courtesy and professionalism with clients and patients.
