BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Veterinary Technician to join our team in the United States. The role offers an hourly pay range of $20.00–$40.00, dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.

You will contribute to patient care by formulating anesthetic plans, monitoring anesthesia, handling IV access, and supporting pre-, intra-, and post-operative workflows.

Responsabilités

• Assist in procedures using anesthesia knowledge.
• Monitor anesthesia and intervene for complications.
• Place IV catheters and manage endotracheal intubation.
• Record vitals and assess patient status.
• Manage pre-, intra-, and post-operative care and recovery.
• Handle patient history, invoicing, and discharge processes.

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an Anesthesia Veterinary Technician!

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.

As an Anesthesia Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Assist in patient procedures using knowledge of anesthesia and analgesia related protocols and procedures, including formulating anesthetic plans tailored to individual patient needs.

• Monitor anesthesia, trouble shoot anesthetic complications, and make appropriate interventions.

• Intravenous catheter placement, endotracheal intubation, and anesthetic equipment use and maintenance.

• Perform physical exam; accurately counts heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort.

• Understand normal vital parameters and alerts doctor when abnormal.

• Set up intravenous fluids and CRI’s.

• Continuous expansion of knowledge and skillset: advanced anesthetic skills including epidurals, difficult airway intubation, and critical case management.

• Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and can troubleshoot errors.

• Comfortable with medical math.

• Ability to take patient through entire procedure from start to finish (pre-op, monitoring, post-op, and recovery)

• Manage appointments, obtain histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient discharges, etc.

• Disconnect and connect patients from intravenous fluids aseptically.

• Monitor patient response to fluid therapy including signs of overload.
