Cornell University Hospital for Animals is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician I to join the Small Animal Nursing Unit. You will provide nursing care for stable patients, perform phlebotomy and IV/catheter placements, administer meds, and monitor anesthesia recovery in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in veterinary technology or equivalent, NY licensure expected within 3 months
• New graduates encouraged to apply

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing care to stable patients per hospital protocols and clinician orders
• Perform phlebotomy and IV/catheter placement
• Administer medications accurately by correct route and dilution
• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and post-procedure care
• Use monitoring equipment such as pulse oximetry, ECG, and NIBP
• Guide and support DVM students during shifts
• Continue to develop clinical skills and knowledge
