South Orange Animal Hospital in South Orange, New Jersey, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our four-doctor team. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $25-$30, a four-day work week with rotating Saturday shifts, and a culture that values collaboration.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician credential welcomed but not required.
• Experience in a clinical setting.
• Strong technical and patient-care skills.
• Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance.

• Ability to multitask in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures.
• Triage patients and obtain medical histories and vital signs.
• Provide nursing care from intake to discharge.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection.
• Obtain radiographs and perform in-house lab testing.
• Educate clients regarding medications and preventive care.
• Maintain complete medical records.
