Job summary

South Orange Animal Hospital in South Orange, New Jersey, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our four-doctor practice full-time. You will assist veterinarians during exams, surgeries, and treatments, provide compassionate nursing care, and educate clients on medications and preventive care.

We offer $25–$30 per hour, a 4-day work week with rotating Saturday shifts, plus a strong benefits package including 401(k) matching, tuition support, and generous time off to support

Qualifications

• Must have veterinary technician experience in a clinical setting.
• Licensed Veterinary Technician credential welcomed but not required.
• Strong technical skills and confidence with hands-on patient care.
• Excellent communication and client education skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures.
• Triage patients and obtain history, vital signs, and assessments.
• Provide nursing care from intake to discharge and educate clients.
