Job summary

Waynesburg Animal Hospital in rural Greene County, Pennsylvania, is hiring a Full-Time Veterinary Technician to join our three-doctor small animal practice. You will support veterinarians during exams, procedures, and surgeries, provide nursing care, handle patients, and educate clients.

We offer a four-day workweek with weekends off and a comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, and education support.

Qualifications

  • Previous veterinary technician experience or licensure.
  • Ability to assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
  • Compassionate nursing care and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Support veterinarians during examinations, treatments, procedures, and surgeries.
  • Provide attentive nursing care to hospitalized and outpatient patients.
  • Safely handle and restrain patients during examinations and procedures.
  • Assist with medication administration, treatments, and patient monitoring.
  • Support anesthesia, surgical preparation, monitoring, and recovery.
  • Collect and process laboratory samples and assist with diagnostic testing.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation.
  • Communicate with clients and provide education regarding medications and follow-up care.
  • Keep treatment and patient-care areas clean, organized, and stocked.
