Job summary

Royer Veterinary Services in Worthington, Indiana is seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate team. You will assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, surgeries, and a broad range of clinical procedures, while recording histories and vital signs, and preparing laboratory samples.

Responsibilities include monitoring anesthesia, assisting with radiographs, educating pet owners, and maintaining clean, organized treatment areas.

  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments under veterinary supervision.
  • Prepare patients for surgery and monitor them before, during, and after procedures.
  • Monitor anesthesia, vital signs, and patient recovery.
  • Provide appropriate animal restraint and ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized treatment and surgical areas.
  • Operate and maintain veterinary medical equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Assist with radiographs and other diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Educate pet owners about medications, nutrition, preventive care, post-treatment instructions, and general animal health.
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes in condition to the veterinarian.
  • Provide compassionate care and handling of animals while minimizing stress.
  • Follow established safety, infection-control, and animal-care protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the veterinarian or practice manager.

Role Overview
