Dynamite Animal Hospital, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our team. We offer support, tools, and resources to help you elevate your skills. Our hospital, rooted in the local community, combines a genuine local feel with Thrive's national resources.

About You

You will play a vital role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care, including outpatient treatments, laboratory tests, surgery assistance, and support services like admitting and discharging patients.

Experience & Skills Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical veterinary experience
  • CVT/LVT/RVT encouraged to apply
  • Prepare animals and instruments for surgery
  • Provide surgical assistance and post-operative care
  • Administer medications and treatments prescribed by a veterinarian
  • Positive work attitude, self-motivated, excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Superior technical skills and a commitment to a stress-free environment for patients
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
Role Responsibilities:
  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality care, advocate for pets, and educate clients
  • Assist with hospital functions to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow
  • Assist in surgeries and procedures per state Veterinary Practice Acts
  • Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options
  • Maintain medical records and obtain relevant health history
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow protocols, and keep treatment areas clean
  • Guide, mentor, and support team members
