Job summary

Arizona Canine Orthopedics and sports medicine is hiring a full-time Certified Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional service to clients. Expect to work under veterinarians with surgery, anesthesia, and recovery tasks in a focused orthopedic setting.

The ideal candidate has CVT certification (preferred), strong animal handling abilities, and knowledge of common diseases along with safety guideline familiarity. Benefits and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) certification preferred.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Assist Surgical Doctor in follow ups and administrative work.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates.
• Perform lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Salary: $22.00-$30.00 per hour dependent on skills and experience

Schedule: Needs open availability, Monday- Friday 7:30AM-5PM, Saturdays 8AM-2PM
