Job summary

Arizona Canine Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Scottsdale is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician/ Medical Assistant to provide skilled care to our canine patients and outstanding service to our clients.

The role offers $22–$30 per hour, a comprehensive benefits package, PTO, and a 401(k); you will assist veterinarians with exams, anesthesia, lab work, radiographs, injections, and client communication while keeping records accurate and rooms clean.

Qualifications

• CVT certification preferred.
• Experience in animal care.
• Strong client communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines (DEA/OSHA) and hospital procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Assist Surgical Doctor in follow ups and administrative work.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates.
• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.
