Job summary

Riverwalk Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our supportive team and help deliver compassionate patient care. This role supports veterinarians, restrains patients, collects lab samples, records histories, assists with imaging, anesthesia, and nursing care.

We value open communication, ongoing learning, and teamwork. Pay ranges $18-$20/hr with full-time benefits; late-afternoon to evening hours and one weekend day required; seven days a week hours until 10 PM.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of veterinary experience preferred.
  • Strong animal restraint and handling skills.
  • Experience with laboratory sample collection, medical histories, and radiographs is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A team-first attitude and willingness to support coworkers.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • A self-starter mindset and desire to continue advancing your veterinary knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and compassionate in urgent or stressful situations.

Responsibilities

  • Safely restraining patients using low-stress handling techniques

  • Assisting with diagnostic imaging and processing radiographs

  • Preparing patients for surgery and assisting with veterinary procedures
  • Monitoring patients during anesthesia and recovery
  • Communicating treatment plans and care instructions clearly with clients

As a Veterinarian Technician, you’ll play an important role in providing safe, compassionate patient care and supporting the flow of our veterinary hospital. Your responsibilities may include:

Additional Information

Pay Range: $18-$20/hr

Position Type: Full-time

Position requires late afternoon to evening availability. One weekend day required.

Hours of Operation:

We're open 7 days a week until 10 PM.

  • Mon-Fri: 9:00AM - 10:00PM
  • Sat: 12:00PM - 10:00PM
  • Sun: 12:00PM - 10:00PM
