We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join the team at Eye Care for Animals in Salt Lake City, UT!

Eye Care for Animals is seeking a Full-time Veterinary Technician to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. Practice hours are Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with an average of 40 hours per week. Hours may include after-hours work and opportunities to assist with equine appointments.

Our ideal candidate is someone who likes to work hard and strives to provide excellent customer service. Other qualifications include:

• At least 3 years of veterinary technician experience
• Proficiency in IV catheter placement, blood work, and administering IV, IM, and SQ injections
• Experience in monitoring anesthesia and working with monitoring equipment
• A team player with a self-motivated attitude and eagerness to learn
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multi-task with a positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Overview:

The Veterinary Technician is responsible for various tasks related to customer service and patient care, including animal handling, pre- and post-operative care, creating and presenting financial options and estimates, accurately entering service charges, extensive client interaction, and medication preparation. Hours may include after-hours and on-call responsibilities, which are compensated accordingly. Compensation is based on experience and skill set.
